"They need to introspect and answer the people about their own performance, rather than pointing fingers at the NC-Congress coalition government," senior NC leader Devender Singh Rana said while addressing people in Dansal Block here.
"Those making allegations were themselves in power in the state and need to reply people on several issues," he said adding, they were trying to "hoodwink" people by spreading "canards" about the ruling coalition.
Political rivals are spreading rumours about the performance and the policies of the state government, he said and asked people to ignore such canards.
The coalition government has empowered the common people by conducting the Panchayati Raj elections and given them the right to question the government and its functionaries by enacting the Right to Information Act and the Public Service Guarantee Act in the state, he said.
