NCB seizes cocaine, arrests Kenyan national

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today arrested one Kenyan national from near the Sealdah station here following a seizure of cocaine from her possession, a senior officer said.

Acting on a tip-off, NCB sleuths conducted a raid at a supermarket near the Sealdah station and nabbed the Kenyan woman along with 19 gm cocaine and Rs 8700, he said adding that the drugs were kept in small candy packets.

The market price of the drugs seized was around Rs 1.5 lakh, the officer said.

"The woman was waiting for an unknown person to deliver the consignment at a supermarket near Sealdah railway station," the officer said.

 

The Kenyan national had arrived from New Delhi this morning and was supposed to return the national capital catching this evening, he said.

"Several documents have been seized from the woman and her passport seems to be a fake one. We are probing into the matter," the officer added.
