The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Leadership Academy, having a capacity to train 700 cadets at a time, was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in Narmada district.
"Anandiben Patel amidst a grand NCC ceremony inaugurated the Gujarat NCC Leadership Academy at Jeetnagar," a statement from Defence Public Relation Officer (PRO) said today.
"The inauguration of this modern academy marks the combined efforts of the state government and the NCC to develop the youth of the state," it added.

The complex has one administrative block, separate hostels and dining halls for NCC cadets and a parade ground. This will provide the much needed boost to the NCC training and give impetus to development of the youth of the state, the statement said.
The Academy is in Jeetnagar in Rajpipla town of South Gujarat and will be beneficial to cadets of Vadodara, Surat, Navsari and Narmada districts, it said.
Additional Director General of Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Diu and Daman Major General Dilawar Singh, along with the Group Commander of NCC Group in Vadodara Headquarter (HQ), Brigadier V N Sawant were present at the ceremony yesterday.
Patel appreciated the dedicated efforts put in by NCC staff and all those associated with the project and exhorted the young cadets of Gujarat to make best use of the facility and improve their skills to contribute in nation building.
