NCP asks J&K govt to check illegal parking on national highway

While speaking to reporters here, NCP's state General Secretary and spokesperson Sudershan Choudhary today alleged that various eating joints on the J&K National Highway were using the roads for parking vehicles.

"Government should take immediate steps to check illegal parking on the National Highway to avoid the untimely accidental deaths," he said.

Showcasing photographs taken by party workers of illegal vehicle parking on the highway, Choudhary said: "These are posing threat of accidents on the highway and traffic department is turning a blind eye to these incidents."

The NCP leader alleged that influential business houses were taking advantage of their position and using highway roads as parking places.

 

"If these parkings are not checked by the Government or concerned authorities for making use of highway city roads as parking places in front of their business establishments. accidental deaths will be unabated", he added.
