NCP leader Patil suffers cardiac arrest, undergoes angiography

Former Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil underwent an angiography at Bombay Hospital here after suffering a cardiac arrest over the weekend.

The 57-year-old NCP leader was admitted to the private medical facility on Saturday after he suffered a cardiac arrest, B K Goyal, noted cardiologist and the hospital dean, said today.

Angiography, a procedure performed to view blood vessels, was conducted on him on him yesterday.

"After admission, he was revived and angiography was done yesterday afternoon. The reports are normal. The former minister's condition is stable," Goyal said.

The NCP group leader in state Assembly recently underwent a procedure at Breach Candy Hospital for an undisclosed medical condition.
 

On being discharged, Patil had issued a statement, saying doctors have advised him complete rest and he would resume his socio-political duties soon.
