NCP ministers to be sworn in today

Maharashtra NCP President Madhukar Pichad is among the party ministers to be sworn in here today as part of the cabinet reshuffle.

The swearing-in is scheduled at Raj Bhawan.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar had last week sought resignations of all party ministers in the state ministry. Last night, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar handed over the list of ministers to be dropped/inducted to CM Chavan.

According to party sources, the members who are likely to be inducted today are Pichad, Shashikant Shinde, Dilip Sopal, Uday Samant and Sanjay Savkare.

Pichad is from Akole in Ahmednagar, Shinde from Kotegaon in Satara, Sopal from Barshi in Solapur, Uday Samant from Ratnagiri and Savkare from Jalgaon district.
 

Those likely to be dropped include Babanrao Pachpute, Ramraje Nimbalkar, Laxman Dhobale, Bhaskar Jadhav and Gulabrao Devkar.
