NCP's Sandhyadevi Kupekar sworn in as MLA

Sandhyadevi Kupekar, wife of late Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar, today sworn in as NCP MLA on day one of the Budget session.

Speaker Dilip Walse Patil administered the oath to Kupekar in his chamber in the presence of Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.

Sandhyadevi won the bypoll from Chandgad Assembly seat in Kolhapur district last month, which was necessitated following the demise of sitting NCP MLA Babasaheb Kupekar in September 2012.
