Maharashtra NCP president Sunil Tatkare has said his party's tally of councillors in the second phase of local bodies polls stood at 105 if victory of the party-backed Shirur Vikas Agadhi is factored in in today's results.
"NCP has won 93 seats by contesting on the party symbol while in Shirur the party supported local Shirur Vikas Agadhi which won 12 seats. This takes the NCP total to 105 out of 324 seats in the polls," Tatkare said.
The Sharad Pawar-led party today scored an edge over the BJP in the polls held in Pune and Latur districts yesterday.

The party also won election of municipal council president on Baramati (Pune district) and Ausa (Latur district) seats.
72.18 per cent voters had exercised their franchise to elect 324 councillors and 14 municipal council presidents in the two districts.
