NCP workers today staged a protest outside Ryan International School in suburban Mumbai against the murder of a seven-year-old boy at a school run by the Ryan group in Gurgaon.

They also demanded tightening of security measures.

"This has once again raised questions about the security of children in schools. NCP workers staged a protest outside the school premises to condemn the (Gurgaon) incident," NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said.

Protesters handed over a memorandum to the school authorities, containing demands relating to the security of students.

"The school should have complete details of those working there, and it should take responsibility of bus conductors and security guards. It should install CCTV cameras outside toilets and in school buses. These are some of our demands," Malik said.
