In a letter to the Chief Secretary of Haryana, Vinod Tikoo, a member of NCPCR has recommended several measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
"Mapping of all the Child Care Institutions in the district should be undertaken on a war footing," Tikoo said in his letter and asked the state to ensure registration of such ECIs under Juvenile Justice within 3 months.
Tikoo said NCPCR had taken cognizance of the news report that minors had been raped and abused in a Gurgaon orphanage and a team visited the 'Suparna ka Angan' where alleged sexual and physical abuse of the children was reported.
