The National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL) will join hands with city-based Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAV) to establish 'Sindhi Chair'.
NCPSL is an autonomous organisation under the Union Human Resources and Development Ministry.
In a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker and Indore MP Sumitra Mahajan, NCPSL Vice Chairperson Aruna Jaithani informed that a Memorandum of Understanding will be soon signed with DAV to establish the 'Sindhi Chair'.
The chair will be formed by using corpus of Rs one crore. There is proposal to start MA Sindhi and PHD through the chair, the letter said.
Jaithani told PTI that one such chair already exists in Ajmer.
