The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) today sanctioned about Rs 654 crore for the construction of roads of a total length of 114.302km in the five Haryana districts of Gurgaon, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Rewari and Sonipat.
A Haryana government spokesman said that improvement of existing roads and the building of new roads and bypasses would be undertaken with the money.
NCRPB's project sanctioning and monitoring group cleared the funds today at a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development, Sudhir Krishna.
The Principal Secretaries of Public Works Departments (Buildings and Roads) of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh were present at the meeting.
