Member of National Commission for Scheduled Castes Ishwar Singh today visited Ramgarh Majra village here and consoled the family member of martyr Rockey, who died in terrorist attack at Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"Soldiers of Haryana were always willing to protect the country's borders," Singh said, adding that it was a matter of great pride for Yamunanagar that a soldier from the area had died fighting with the enemies.

Meanwhile, All-India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) said in a statement that it was unhappy with Haryana Government for announcing Rs 20 lakh to the martyr's kin.

"When the government can give Rs 2 crore to the person who brought bronze medal then why they announced only Rs 20 lakhs for the martyr's family," it said.
