NDMC Commr orders action against illegal ads in Civil Lines

NDMC Commissioner Praveen Kumar Gupta today inspected some areas under the Civil Lines Zone in north Delhi and directed officials to take immediate action for removal of illegal hoarding and advertisements there.

North Delhi Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gupta, along with area councillor Rajni Abbi and other senior civic officials, inspected Mukherjee Nagar and Gopalpur Village area to check the progress under 'Swachh Bharat' drive.

"During the inspection at Batra Cinema Complex, he took serious note of illegal hoardings and banners in the area and he directed the officials to take immediate action for removal of these illegal advertisements.

"He also directed the officials to remove encroachments from the footpaths," the NDMC said today.
 

Also, during the inspection of Dussehra Maidan at Mukherjee Nagar, he directed officials to demolish the old structure of a community centre there and construct a new building in its place.

While inspecting dhalaos, or garbage dumps, at Jangalwala, he directed the officials to erect a gate in front of the dhalao. He also directed the officials to ensure zero garbage at each of the dhalaos every day.

During the inspection of Gopalpur Village, he directed the officials to ensure desilting of drains at regular interval. The commissioner also inspected the storm water pump house and directed officials to run the pumps regularly.
