NDMC hikes councillor fund to over Rs one crore a year

Standing Committee Chairman Yogender Chandolia said the new budget also allocates Rs five lakh per ward for street lighting.

The revised budget also increased the number of pensioners from 700 per ward to 750.

For Chhat puja celebrations, Rs fove five crore has been earmarked.

Leader of Opposition Mukesh Goel alleged the budget did not have anything for commonman and described it as "simply opportunistic".
