The 'Mayor Helpline' of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has got over 1,700 calls in the first two months of its operation, out of which more than 1,400 of them were for removal of garbage, the civic body today said.
"Out of the total complaints received, 1,412 were regarding garbage removal, 236 for removal of debris, five on burning of leaves and five related to corruption," North Delhi Mayor Ravinder Gupta said.
The Mayor himself has tested 1,076 complaints and most of the complainants are satisfied with the work done, the NDMC said.

Gupta also said that in the first month the helpline received 1,044 complaints.
And, out of the total of 1,708 complaints (April 28-June 26), 1,658 of them have been redressed.
Out of the six zones of the NDMC, maximum complaints were received from Civil Lines (586) while City Zone saw least number of grievances (52).
The helpline was launched by Gupta on April 28, the very same day he had assumed charge as the new Mayor of North Delhi.
The Mayor said that out of 55 complaints related to corruption or unauthorised construction, five complaints have been attended to and redressed while remaining 50 are under process with the Director of Vigilance, who needs to investigate the matter and put up the report to him.
