The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to issue tender to allot all the 91 authorized parking sites in its jurisdiction "en bloc" to a single contractor.
"This step of giving all parkings to a single entity would help in checking parking mafia besides controlling malpractices," North Delhi Mayor Ravinder Gupta said.
There are 91 parking lots under NDMC out of which 45 sites have been allotted to various contractors, he said.
"The parking sites presently running under contract, may continue to run as it is till the period of contract is over. After that, these would also be clubbed and auctioned as single entity," Gupta said.
