NDMC today decided to move court to seek release of funds from the Delhi government including for payment of pensions to former employees and widows.
"We (all three mayors) tried meeting the chief minister to apprise him of the financial problems faced by the civic body, but it has not been heeded. So, we have no other option but to seek a legal route to resolve the issue," NDMC's Standing Committee Chairman Mohan Bhardwaj said.
North Delhi Mayor Ravinder Gupta said it has also come to his knowledge that a reply has been sought from the Delhi government on a PIL reportedly filed in the High Court.
