Elite National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today imparted valuable lessons to students on how to deal with any kind of emergency, either natural or man-made.
The awareness-cum-training programme based on school safety was conducted by a team of 9 Battalion NDRF at Army Public School Danapur (Patna).
The objective of this training programme was to generate awareness among school teachers/staff and students in the field of school safety and also to train them in order to react and deal with any kind of emergency either natural or manmade, a NDRF statement said.

A demonstration cum hands on training on Pre Hospital Treatment (PHT) including blood control, splinting, CPR and lifting - moving techniques was also imparted to the students by 9 NDRF team.
Vijay Sinha, Commandant, 9 Battalion NDRF emphasised that prevention of disaster begins with awareness.
School is one of the best venue for creating awareness about natural and manmade disasters and the response mechanism to mitigate its effects. School students and teachers can serve as messengers for building a culture of safety in the school and outreaching to the community, he said.
Dharamsheela Pandey, Principal, Army Public School Danapur (Patna) expressed her thanks to the 9 Battalion NDRF team for generating awareness in the field of school safety amongst the teachers/staff and students of the school.
