NDRF imparts training to Home Guards, NCC and NYK cadets

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today imparted training to Home Guard jawans along with NCC cadets and those from Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) about ways to deal with natural disaster.

The three-day training programme began today at the headquarters of 9th battalion of NDRF in Bihta here.

The participants were informed about how to search and rescue victims in case of an earthquake. They also received lessons on how to rescue people and manage animals during floods and administer first aid in such situations, a statement from NDRF said.

Addressing the inaugural session, Commandant of the 9th battalion of NDRF Vijay Sinha asked participants to use the skills they learn here in creating awareness among common people.
