NDTV narrows Q2 consolidated loss at Rs 17.19 cr

New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) today reported narrowing of consolidated net loss at Rs 17.19 crore in the second quarter ended September 30.

The company had posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 26.89 crore in the same period last fiscal, NDTV said in a BSE filing.

Total income from operations was Rs 127.6 crore as against Rs 110.38 crore in the year-ago quarter, it added.

On standalone basis, NDTV said, it reduced its loss to Rs 7 crore in July-September quarter against a loss of Rs 20 crore in the same quarter last year.

The group's e-commerce businesses reported a loss of Rs 13 crore as against a loss of Rs 4 crore in the same period last year.
 

The company, however, said it has secured funding at a valuation close to USD 80 million for its gadgets and auto e-commerce vertical.

Shares of NDTV ended the day at Rs 92.40 apiece, down 2.89 per cent from the previous close on BSE.
