Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today underlined the importance of skill development of the youth to make them global citizens and increase their employability.

On her visit to the border district of Barmer, Raje noted that her government has been running various development programs, especially for the youth.

"Youths from Rajasthan can go anywhere in the world and prove their brilliance and prove most competent after they participate in the skill development programmes being offered by the state," she said.

The Chief Minister who visited a craft exhibition and agriculture centre here, noted that the handicraft and Dastkari would be revived and for which the state government has a specific plan and funds.

As the art and culture is preserved in villages, youths would also find jobs in rural Rajasthan, she said.

A marketing centre has been set up in Delhi's Bikaner House where the artisans could go and showcase their products and art, she said.

Expressing her concern on damage of agriculture crop by wild animals like pig and rojare (Neelgai), Raje said there were a number of proposals to contain their menace by fending, or sterilization to stop their reproduction.
