State-run North Eastern Electric Power Corporation today reported a 96 per cent surge in net profit at Rs 341.62 crore in the six months period ended March 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 174.18 crore in the same period a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing.
According to the statement, the company's income from operations increased to Rs 864.19 crore in the second half of 2015-16 fiscal compared with Rs 855.48 crore in the year-ago period.
