Negligible rainfall in Bihar

Southern parts of Bihar remained mainly dry today even as very light to light rainfall was reported from one or two places in northern parts of the state, the weather department said.

Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea did not receive any rainfall since yesterday which led to a rise in temperature by few notches.

Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37.1 degrees Celsius followed by Patna at 36.4 degrees Celsius, Bhagalpur at 36 degrees Celsius and Gaya at 35.3 degrees Celsius.

Bhagalpur remained the most humid place with maximum morning humidity level at 83 per cent followed by 74 per cent in Patna, 73 per cent in Purnea and 72 per cent in Gaya.
 

In its forecast for next 24 hours in the state, the Met department predicted that the four cities may expect a partly cloudy sky.
