NEIL launches prog to bring women back to workplace

National Engineering Industries Ltd (NEIL), launched a program to provide opportunities for women to come back into the workplace after career breaks.

Under the program -- Back on Track, the plan is to recruit a good number of women on career breaks into various management roles over the next three years, a company release said.

With focus on hiring women employees from tier II and III cities, NEIL is in the process of hiring women to increase representation of women across all functions and locations.

"With Back on Track program, we aim to give women with the required skills and knowledge for re-entering the workplace," NEIL Vice President and Head - Human Resources Shilpa Kabra said.

BHEL commissions 3 MW Solar plant in Dadra and Nagar Haveli * Power equipment maker BHEL today said it has commissioned a 3 MW Solar PV Power Plant in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The Solar PV Power Plant was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the company said in a statement.

BHEL has executed this project on turnkey basis for Dadra and Nagar Haveli Power Distribution Corporation Ltd, at Velugam.

BSE launches system for GST Identification Number for members * Leading stock exchange BSE today said it has launched an interface in its electronic filing system to collect the GST Identification Number (GSTIN) details from brokers in a seamless manner.

Further, the exchange has received GSTIN details of 22 trading members and advised others to upload the same in the system, it said in a statement.

The move comes after the government has proposed to introduce Goods and Service Tax (GST) with effect from July 1, 2017.
Imperial Realty to invest Rs 480 cr on housing proj in Shimla

* Imperial Holding Group, which is into aviation business, today said it is investing Rs 480 crore to develop a luxury housing project at Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.

Imperial Realty and Developments, a subsidiary of Imperial Holding, is developing total 270 units in this 20- acre project.

"We are developing our first project Auramah Valley near Naldera golf course at Shimla comprising 200 apartments, 50 duplexes and 20 villas in this project over three phases. The construction cost of this project is Rs 480 crore," Imperial Holding group Chairman Manav Singh said.

Vipul gives contract to Leighton India for Gurugram proj * Realty firm Vipul Ltd today said it has given contract to Leighton India, to construct the first phase of its project in Gurugram.

Leighton India Contractors Pvt Ltd is a part of the CIMIC Group, which is Australia's major constructing and contracting company. It started operations in India in 1998.

This will be Leighton India's fourth major construction project in India following Maker Maxity and Ten BKC both in Mumbai, IKEA retail outlet in Hyderabad and DLF Camelias in Delhi-NCR.

Sepalika raises $750,000 from Accel

* Sepalika.Com, a content platform, today said it has raised USD 750,000 in its seed round, led by Accel.

Sepalika will use the fresh capital infused for further building on its research-based content and strengthening its core proposition in the key market of US, the company said in a statement.

"The latest round of capital raised will help us to further boost the offerings of our platform," Sepalika co- founder Sharda Agarwal said.

Razorpay appoints MasterCard exec as Chief Innovation Officer * Online payments platform Razorpay today said it has appointed former MasterCard executive Arif Khan as its Chief Innovation Officer.

In this role, he will be responsible for managing the innovation process inside the organisation by building strategies and identifying new business opportunities, Razorpay said in a statement.

He will also work closely with various banking and financial institutions to develop new technical capabilities and a robust payment architecture, it added.
Dogether to compete at start-up challenge at RISE conference

* Social media startup Dogether today said it has been selected for the start-up competition at RISE technology conference to be held from July 11-13 at Hong Kong.

Dogether is among the 66 selected start-ups at 'PITCH', where world's leading early-stage start-ups join for a live, on-stage pitching battle, the company said in a statement.

The PITCH competition includes inspiring speeches, curated workshops, roundtables and a start-up showcase.

The three-day conference will see over 500 start-ups promoting their ideas and products, with investors looking for the next big opportunity.

Casino Pride picks up stake in OceanKing * Online game portal Baadshah Gaming today said it has tied up with Casino Pride, Goa, with the latter acquiring in excess of 30 per cent stake in Baadshah Gaming's OceanKing Software Solutions LLP.

The tie-up is aimed at venturing into live gaming operations and the launch of the 'Baadshah Gaming Live' property at Casino Pride to operate a 'click and mortar' business model, the company said.

Treebo ties up with TripAdvisor

* Hospitality chain Treebo Hotels today said it has tied-up with travel site TripAdvisor which would enable the company to target the global travel audience of 390 million unique monthly users.

As part of the partnership, users will be able to discover Treebo.Com prices at over 250 properties across India on TripAdvisor before completing the booking on the Treebo website, a company statement said.
