'How I Met Your Mother' star Neil Patrick Harris, whose hosting gig at the Emmys this year garnered mixed response, has decided to stay away from hosting duties for sometime.
Harris acknowledged that the Emmy awards this Sunday may not have been his best effort, reported Us magazine.
"Emceeing the Emmys was fun, but I'm sure glad it's over. Looking forward to not hosting anything for a long time," Harris tweeted.

"Ummmm... Emmys, when will we dispense with the dance montages? No one likes them, y'all. We'd rather hear from the ppl we're honoring (sic)," actress Martha Plimpton tweeted.
"Is it just me or is this show really really really weird?" radio host Billy Bush contributed.
Taking a dig, comedian Michael Ian Black tweeted, "Next year, spice up the Emmys a little by not having them.
