Nepal Airlines will soon resume its operations from West Bengal which will improve connectivity between the city and Kathmandu, Nepal Ambassador Deep Kumar Upadhayay said today.
It is hoped that the flight services would be resumed in the coming Durga Puja festival to Diwali, he said.
"In the first phase the flights would be thrice a week. Later on the service would be increased depending on the demand," Upadhayay told reporters at the sidelines of a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) interactive session.

Currently Air India has direct flights between the two cities thrice a week.
The service of Nepal Airlines recently started from Bengaluru and Mumbai.
While talking to industrialists at the session, the ambassador urged them to invest in Nepal and said there is a lot of opportunity in the construction sector of that country following the devastating earthquake in April.
