Nepal police chief visits India

The head of Nepal Police today embarked on an official visit to India during which he will discuss with top Indian officials ways to curb terrorism and cross-border crimes.

Inspector General of Police Upendra Kanta Aryal will call on India's Home Secretary and meet high ranking officials like the Delhi Police chief, CBI chief and BSF chief, Nepal Police spokesperson Ganesh KC said.

Aryal is also scheduled to meet the chiefs of Patna and Lucknow police during the six-day visit.

Ganesh KC said Aryal will discuss matters related to curbing cross-border crimes, terrorism and bilateral security cooperation.

Acting chief of the Department of Crime Investigation is among the top officials accompanying Aryal.
