Nepal is receiving rains mixed with dust particles spread from desert in Rajasthan, meteorological officials said today, warning that such rain may contain chemical elements.
The dust particles spread from the Indian desert mixed with the rain due to the westerly wind causing murky rain in the mid hill and southern belt of Nepal, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.
Even the Kathmandu Valley received such rain, said Meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal.
He, however, said it would continue only for two days. More rainfall is needed to clear the dust, he said, adding that it is the first time such rain entered Nepal from Rajasthan.
The meteorologist warned people not to collect and use such rain for some days as it may contain chemical elements.
