The Customs have decided to allow Nepali vehicles into Indian side to Raxual from tomorrow only on the basis of "temporary pass" for one day for security reasons, a senior Customs Officer said today.
From tomorrow the Nepali vehicles would be allowed in Raxual only on the basis of a "temporary pass" for one day, Additional Commissioner at Indian Customs Office Kamalesh Kumar told PTI.
He said the pass will be issued without any fee.

Those who enter India without a pass would have to pay a fine or his/her vehicle may be confiscated, he added.
The step has been taken in view of security reasons and in the spirit of Indo-Nepal treaty of 1950 which was amended in 2009, he said.
Kumar said such a measure is already in place on borders at India and Nepal at Jogbani and Viratnagar in Madhubani district for past one week and it would come into force at Raxual border from tomorrow.
The officer said as per the provision the Nepali vehicles were allowed to come to bus stand or railway station in Raxual in Bihar's East Champaran district on Indian side and many of them used to stay back for more time in the Indian soil.
There are 1751 km of Indo-Nepal border touching Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
The Raxual-Birganj border entry point in Bihar accounts for bulk transportation of goods to the Himalayan nation - of nearly 70 per cent of the business between the two countries.
