Nepalese held with heroin near Indo-Nepal border

A Nepalese national was

arrested with narcotics from Sonauli area on the Indo-Nepal border here, police said Tuesday.

Tribhuvan Thapa (31), who was on his way to Nepal, was arrested Monday night during a routine checking at Shyamkot village near the Indo-Nepal border, and 48 gm of heroin was seized from his possession, they said.

The seized contraband is stated to be worth Rs 48 lakh.

The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
