A Nepalese national was arrested with 4.4 kg charas worth Rs 40 lakh in Nichlaual area on Indo-Nepal border here, a senior official said today.
The accused, identified as Mohan Chaudhary, was on his way to India from Nepal when he was arrested last evening with 4.4 kg charas during a routine checking, Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) Commandant K S Bankhoti said.
The seized charas is worth around Rs 40 lakh in the international market, he said.
The accused has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Bankhoti added.
