Nepalese woman held with currency notes worth Rs. 3 lakh

A Nepalese woman was today arrested with Nepalese currency worth Rs. 3 lakh from the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar's Kishanganj district, an official said.

The Shashastra Seema Bal (SSB)'s 19th battalion personnel arrested the Nepalese woman Madhuri Chakrabarty after she entered Indian terrority at Dangujot border outpost in an illegal manner, the Deputy Commandant Umesh Tapliyal said.

A native of Nepal's Bhadrapur district, she was carrying Rs. 3 lakh cash in NPR with her, he said.

The woman was under interrogation about the purpose of her visit and also about source and end use of the cash she was carrying, Tapliyal said.
