Roshan, who came to Delhi in 2008, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of Jyoti, who was working as a maid in a house at Vikaspuri, police said today.
On Monday, Jyoti was found dead inside a room in the house of Susheel Malla where she worked as a maid. Gold and diamond jewellery, mobile phones and watches were also found stolen from the house.
After analysing the call details of Jyoti's mobile phone, police zeroed-in on Roshan who was found missing since Monday.
Police also found that the accused was in regular touch with Jyoti.
On interrogation, Rohan said he was in a relationship with Jyoti and during his visits to the house she was working, he noticed that there are many valuables in the house.
"As he wanted to go Nepal and he was in desperate need of money, he planned to steal the valuables and articles. He hatched conspiracy to steal the articles of the house as well as get rid of Jyoti who was forcing him to marry her," a senior police official said.
