A Nepali youth was arrested from Tanakpur area of Champawat district today and charas worth over Rs 70 lakh seized from him.
Ram Singh, hailing from Kanchanpur district of Nepal, was arrested from Tanakpur area and 14 kg of charas worth nearly Rs 70 lakh in the international market was recovered from his possession, an STF release said here.
The arrest followed a tip-off, it said, adding that a country-made pistol was also seized from the youth.
He has been booked under the NDPS and Arms Acts, the release said.
