Dialysis healthcare services provider NephroPlus plans to set up 500 new centres across the country in the next five years with financial assistance from a World Bank arm, a company official said today.

The expansion is aimed at catering to the growing need for kidney disease management services in the country, Pavan Shetty, National Manager, Business Development, NephroPlus, told reporters here.

"The World Bank (International Finance Corp, a WB Group member) will give us financial assistance for opening 500 new centres," he said.

The seven-year-old company has 64 standalone operational dialysis centres across 14 states, Shetty said, adding plans are afoot to open more facilities in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir and North-east, among others.

NephroPlus has partnered with Vadodara-based Shreenath Clinic to provide its services in the city.

"This is our second centre in Gujarat, where we plan to open 15 more facilities," said Ravi Dikshit, Vice-President (Operations), NephroPlus.
