Netflix all UK press interviews for "Arrested Development" following a backlash over Jeffrey Tambor in an interview with the New York Times.

Cast member Jason Bateman came under fire for defending Tambor for yelling at co-star Jessica Walter in the past.

Tambor, who plays the family patriarch opposite Walter in the show in "Arrested Development", was fired from another popular TV show "Transparent" over allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denied but admitted to anger issues. He is returning for the fifth season of the show that Netflix has produced.

"We had planned to have most of the Arrested Development cast in London this week to support the launch of the new season and meet fans. At this time we have decided not to move ahead with promotional activity in the U.K. but hope to bring the cast back at another time," a statement by the streaming giant said.

In a Times interview Walters broke down in tears when discussing alleged verbal harassment from Tambor, who plays her husband on the show.

"In almost 60 years of working, I've never had anybody yell at me like that on a set. And it's hard to deal with, but I'm over it now," Walter told the Times.

Bateman came under fire for blaming Tambor's conduct to "his process," which Walter and star Alia Shawkat disagreed with.

He later apologised and said, "I sound like I'm condoning yelling at work. I do not. It sounds like I'm excusing Jeffery. I do not. It sounds like I'm insensitive to Jessica, I am not," He continued, "This is a big learning moment for me. I shouldn't have tried so hard to mansplain, or fix a fight, or make everything OK.
