A new at-home pregnancy test that not only tells women if they are expecting but also informs them with 93 per cent accuracy how far along they are in their pregnancy is being launched in the US.
Already popular in Europe, the Clearblue Advanced Pregnancy Test with Weeks Estimator has been given the green signal by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
All home pregnancy tests are designed to detect the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone, that women produce when they are pregnant, in the urine.

The other another uses the hormone levels to estimate how many weeks it has been since ovulation (when egg is released to be fertilised by sperm), 'New York Daily News' reported.
So, if the test is positive, 'Pregnant' will be clearly indicated in words on the display along with an estimate of how many weeks have occurred since ovulation: 1-2 weeks, 2-3 weeks or 3+ weeks.
The Clearblue test estimates the weeks since ovulation with 93 per cent accuracy and is 99 per cent accurate for determining pregnancy, according to the product website.
The test will hit the stores and will be available online in US from next month.
