The Directorate of Training Union Territory Civil Services has introduced new courses for 2014 in order to increase the efficiency and responsiveness of Delhi government officials.
Short duration courses like Time-Bound Public Service delivery, Self-Defence for Women, Ethics and Values in Public Governance, Protecting Environment, Preparation of Disaster Management Plan would be taken up for the officials, a statement issued by Delhi government said today.
Apart from organising these courses, the Directorate has also taken up Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) sponsored Trainer Development Programmes.

It organised 298 training programmes on various subjects in 2013-14 attended by 7,411 participants, the statement said.
The Directorate was awarded with a merit certificate and cash prize of Rs 5,000 for 'Best Practices in the Field Of RTI' by the Himachal Institute of Public Administration, Shimla, sponsored by DOPT.
