K Srinivasa Rao today assumed charge as Director of Calicut International Airport at Karipur, near here.
He succeeds J T Radhakrishna, who has been promoted and transferred to Guwahati airport as General Manager (Engineering-Civil).
Rao worked as the General Manager (Human Resource and Administration) at the Corporate Headquarters in New" Delhi prior to joining at this airport, a communication from Calicut airport said today.
Rao, who joined erstwhile National Airport Authority in July, 1990 as Electronics Officer, was initially posted at Calcutta airport and subsequently served in various other" airports like Hyderabad, Dibrugarh, Agatti and Bellary, it said.
He has also served as Airport Director at Vishakapattinam,"Srinagar and Goa.
