The famous Banke Bihari Temple in Vridavan may soon be centrally air-conditioned, officials of th shrine said today.
Looking at the number of pilgrims especially on Saturdays and Sundays and during festivals, the committee is contemplating making the temple centrally air conditioned, vice president of the temple committee Rajat Goswami said.
An air conditioned hall will also be constructed adjacent to the bhog bhandar, where devotees can take rest.

An RO plant with a capacity of 2,000 litres has been setup to provide clean drinking water to people.
According to the former vice president of the committee, revenue of the temple has increased manifold in the last three years.
"The income of the temple has shot up from Rs 67 crore to Rs 112 crore during the last three years," Ghanshyam Goshwami said.
"The Mehrab (arc) of the sanctum sanctorum, gates and the main gate of the temple has been covered with silver with donations from the devotees," he said.
A power sub-station of 33 KV has also been set up at the temple.
