New Haryana Chief Secretary P K Gupta assumes charge

P K Gupta, the new chief secretary of Haryana today said that his priority would be time-bound and transparent implementation of all government policies.

Gupta, after assuming the charge of chief secretary, said that the state government is committed to provide clean and corruption-free administration and he would ensure that all government schemes are implemented in a transparent manner.

He further said that he would make sure the completion of work within the set time-frame.

Funds received for all the development projects from the state and central government would be utilised in an optimal and the most desirable way, he said.
 

Besides, his priority is to work efficiently for the benefit of the state, he added.

A 1981-batch IAS officer, Gupta was earlier the Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management and Consolidation Department.

He had graduated from Government College Faridkot, Punjab in 1974 and completed his LL.B from Panjab University in 1977. He has also completed his MBA from Australia and MA (Public Administration) from the US.

Gupta has served in the capacity of Principal Secretary Home, Public Health Engineering, Labour and Employment, Technical Education, Forest and Wildlife, Environment and Tourism.
