Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the new industrial policy, which is presently being framed, will be implemented by March 31.

He said this during a meeting with representatives of industry associations and industrialists from all over the state on formulation of the New Industrial Policy 2015 at the Haryana Niwas, here today.

The Haryana chief minister said the new policy will plug the "loopholes" in the Industrial Policy 2005 and 2011.

The state government has been taking suggestions from industrialists on the basis of their experience so that the new policy is made simple and easy. A committee has been set up for this purpose, he said.

"We want to play a friend to industry and will ensure that the state government worked to the advantage of industry and the workers", he added.

He said infrastructure like power and roads will be strengthened in keeping with the needs of different areas.

While Gurgaon and Faridabad have separate identities, Panchkula, Sonepat and Kundli have their own, he said adding that the state government was making efforts to provide infrastructure all over the state.

He disclosed that as many as 44 laws related to industries could be simplified and the issue is being considered.

Good provisions made by Gujarat, Punjab and other states in their industrial policies would be incorporated in the new policy after making a complete study on the basis of compatibility, he said.

In keeping with the spirit of the 'Make in Haryana' programme, certain type of industries would be encouraged.
