Haryana Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu today said a new industrial policy would soon be implemented in the state to generate employment opportunities, especially in the backward districts.

Jind district has been neglected by the earlier state government, but the BJP government would ensure that all districts are equally developed, he said on the sidelines of Van Mahotsav programme at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University here.

The Delhi-Amritsar Express Highway, planned by the Union Government, would pass through Jind ushering development in the district, Abhimanyu said.

A notification has been issued for construction of a four-lane road from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh to Bhiwani-Jind, while the other roads of this district would be connected with national highways and rail routes, he said.

The minister said the state government would ensure that the money of taxpayers is properly used in development works without any bias and warned that anyone involved in corruption would face severe action, the minister said.
