New machine to brew perfect cuppa in one minute

An American firm claims to have developed a high-tech USD 13,000 machine that can prepare the perfect cup of tea in just a minute.

According to Bkon, the brewing process is a lot more complicated than simply dipping a tea-bag into boiling water.

Prototypes of the machine are being tested in US coffee shops, and the device could be commercially available later this year.

The Craft Brewer, relies on a novel process of brewing, called reverse atmospheric infusion (Rain).

The machine repeatedly infuses tea by sealing it in vacuum, apparently allowing it to create the perfect cuppa in about a minute's time, 'The Verge' reported.

By drawing air out of the tea's brewing chamber, the leaves quickly and thoroughly release flavourful gases and particles into the surrounding water, the company said.

The machine can perform several vacuum infusions over a single minute, and the timing and cycles can be changed based on what exactly you are brewing.

According to Sprudge, the machine will cost around USD 13,000 when it eventually goes on sale.

The initial set of machines will come up in June this year and a full production run is expected in autumn.

Bkon said though the machine is distinctly built around use with tea leaves, it can also be used for brewing coffee and making infused cocktails.
