Najeeb Jung has appointed former councillors of Municipal Corporation of Delhi Ramesh Pandit and Meher Singh and Congress leader Sunil Bajaj as members of Delhi Development authority (DDA), a day before the Lok Sabha dates were announced.

Usually in the presence of a government, the government recommends the names to the LG after which it recruits the members.

However, here in the absence of a government, Lt governor nominated the members on Tuesday, a day before the Model Code of Conduct came into force.
