New office of MCX inaugurated at GIFT City in Ahmedabad

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated the new office of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX) at GIFT City in Gandhinagar.

This office is spread across over 22,600 sq ft and will house the Exchange's Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) centre as well as a training and education facility, said a release by the MCX.

With an intent to expand the Exchange's operations here, MCX had entered into an MoU with the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) during the recently concluded Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, said the release

MCX intends to invest over Rs 30 crore, apart from creating an employee strength above 100, in the next few years at this office, it said.
 

MCX has plans to set up its in-house software development division for data analytics, internal automation, ancillary applications and value add services to members. Additionally, MCX is also planning to establish a training facility at this space to conduct training programmes, said the release.

On the occasion MCX Chairman Saurabh Chandra thanked Gujarat government and GIFT City management for their support.
