New passenger amenities inaugurated at Bhadrak Railway Station

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram Sunday inaugurated a new station building and foot over bridge at Bhadrak Railway Station.

"Todays inaugural function is just a few among the various steps being taken by Railways to improve the station and railway infrastructure," said Oram, while addressing a gathering here.

Oram also said that people of Bhadrak district were eagerly waiting for the new facilities as the district headquarters town is expanding rapidly.

The minister congratulated East Coast Railway authorities for improving the passenger amenities.

Umesh Singh, General Manager of East Coast Railway said that operationalisation of the new Bhadrak railway station and foot over bridge will help avoid congestion.

 

The new station building has been completed at a cost of Rs 6.18 crore and has facilities like booking office with reserved and unreserved ticketing system and waiting halls, among others.

Similarly, the 6-metre wide foot over bridge was completed at a cost of Rs 3.20 crore connecting all the platforms in a record 150 days.
