Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Sachin Pilot today said 50 per cent of the members in his new team are youth, committed to work for the organisation and the upcoming Panchayat polls in January.

Congress kept a geographical, caste and seniority balance while forming the new team comprising 131 office bearers, executive members and special invitees like party's former governors and chief ministers for betterment of PCC, Pilot said.

PCC was getting old and it was constituted about four and half years ago, and it required more representation of workers and leaders in a larger interest and strengthening the party base at block and district levels, he said.

"We are not trying to please all by forming a bigger PCC, but take support and experience of every one who is committed Congressman/woman for next four years which included next year's Panchayati Raj polls, and later civic polls in 125 bodies", he added.

The congress leader said the Ex Chief Ministers, former Governors, and very senior Congress fellows were taken as special invitees so that young generation could learn from their experience in marching ahead.

Only youth, he said, will do the leg work for re-establishing the party base at block and district levels in the state which was weakened after party's defeat in assembly, Lok Sabha and now recently held civic bodies polls.

Pilot's new team, he made 15-vice presidents, 26 general secretaries and 43 secretaries. The new executive committee has 14 members. There will be 12 permanent and 19 special invitees also.

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot, later Abrar Ahmed's son Danish Abrar have been made General Secretary, and secretary respectively, while Archana Sharma, who is one of the 15 Vice Presidents, has also been made chairperson of the media centre.
