Air Marshal Bhonsle was commissioned into the flying (navigation) branch of the Air Force in 1978. He is an alumnus of the Bhonsala Military School, Nasik and the National Defence Academy, Pune.
Bhonsle is an AI-qualified navigation instructor with 5,200 hours of flying experience, a release here said.
